Joachim Torngren
Almost fresh install of PS1.6.0.9. Multishop. I have a problem that I can't get Euro and USD enabled in the BO. When I look in the database table ps_currency I can see 6 currencies. However there is also a table called ps_curreny_shop. Whats the difference compared to ps_currency? Here there are 5 currencies... But in the PS BO I can only see 4 currencies. USD and EUR are missing. Also trying to add for example Euro gives the error message that the currency already exists What's going on????
vekia
you run store with "multistore" engine currencies_shop table stores informations about currencies associated with shop.
Little Black Market
I have the same problem in single shop mode... It only happened after i tried to do multi-store then decided against. i went back to single store and now i get the same message as above for AUSTRALIAN AUD$ AND BRITSH POUNDS GBP... I get an error report "THIS CURRENCY ALREADY EXISTS". In fact they do not exist anywhere that I can find, and does not appear in the front shop... only the default currency of US$ appears at the shop front. At one point i did import a localization pack for these currencies... Thanks in advance. Craig
Joachim Torngren
I don't have this problem any longer, but I honestly can't remember how I solved it....sorry. Have you tried advanced parameters/performance/clear cache ? This seems to be a miracle button sometimes... Or perhaps "Force compilation" once? Little Black Market
i was just looking at how to vid on Vekia's site and he cleared the cache, but on the 1.6.9 version that screen does not have a clear cache button at smarty... Confused...
Little Black Market
i do however think the answer can be found in there somewhere... I am not sure if i should do force compilation, it sounds dangerous...
Little Black Market
how did you open up database table ps_currency and table called ps_curreny_shop??? maybe this currencies appear in there, and nowhere else???
Joachim Torngren
Are you running 1.6.0.9? Then I think you should have clear cache button. Look in upper right corner: In regards to database, you need to have a program like phpMyAdmin or similar. If you haven't done that before I suggest first testing the clear cache. El Patron
note: for multishop and curriences, you must work in context of exact shop, not shop all or shop group. then you should be able to enable/disable by shop.
Little Black Market
how do you get the database page/ table called ps_curreny_shop that Joachim Torngren has shown on his original thread... maybe if it appears in there, i can delete it and re-input again?? Little Black Market
"THIS CURRENCY ALREADY EXISTS" error. when you get this error, do the following and it will fix it... SOLUTION... Go to phpadmin using MAMP (or whatever you are using)/presta01 (or your name)/ps-currency/browse/delete all currencies you do not need. NOTE: Some currencies appear here and not in BO or shop front, hence the error. Re-input your currencies in BO as per normal.. NOTE: If your currency options is not on your shop front to choose, simply go to modules/currency block/enable. Problem solved.... Thanks to everyone that has helped me with all my Prestashop 1.6 problems.. I am so proud that I found a solution with the communities help and now I can now give back... I am a newbie, so this is a big deal to me.... Special thanks for your help Joachim Tirngren, I would not have found it without you steering me in the right direction.
