[1.6.0.9] FrontOffice down, too many redirects

I don't know what happened, or what caused this. I think it happened after updating 1-Click Upgrade.

But my front office is down at the moment. When using Firefox, below error message appears:
 

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

 

I already searched the forum and tried the following:

• disabled SSL
• cleared cache (server and PC)
• regenerated .htaccess
• re-uploaded missing file from fresh download (admin/autoupgrade/index.php)

The info from "Advanced parameters" > "Configuration information" below:

Modified files (3)
sitemap.xml
admin/autoupgrade/index.php
admin/themes/default/template/controllers/dashboard/helpers/view/view.tpl

Help needed urgently, my shop is not reachable.

Hi All,

 

I got similar problem. The frontpage is down. The confusing thing is the site only down (having redirection loop and get error too much redirection) at certain area. This is the site: wearepsyco.com . We setup multistore, multilanguage for this website and we use ip detect module to redirect the site to certain location.

 

If we access the site from Germany, Spain, Australia, USA, Indonesia, it works just fine. But if we access it from Switzerland the site facing this error. Any idea how to fix it?

 

I've tried:

- regenerate the htaccess (in SEO URL setting, I've played with redirect to canonical, disable apache multiviews)

- enable and disable ip detect location module

 

Any idea how to fix this? The web site was running ok for a few months then now we facing this error.

 

Appreciate any input.
