El Patron
I do not think this is possible, I would love to be proved wrong. You would unless other solution provided to move your files to root.

El Patron
The key is that you do not have another website running in the root domain (i.e. not in folder). please follow search link below, read various articles to learn more about moving from sub-directory to root or vice versa. there are loads of tutorials and advice. good for shop owner to learn this. https://www.google.com/search?q=prestashop+blog+moving+domains&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb

El Patron
do you have access to phpmyadmin from hosting control panel? look at ps_shop_url, there you will see your old sub directoryname, this will now be a slash / then access your back office using same url as before minus the sub directory name. tip: you .htaccess file will need to be regenerated. (you may need to rename to ._htaccess in order to access back office, you can then regnerate from bo by turning on and off friendly url or vice versa. MourneSupplies
i just came up with the idea of setting multishop on my website hoping that i may be able to set the url in thehe but it's still not working properly. who could i ask for help to get this fixed? El Patron
Your move failed. That does not mean strategy described was not good and does not invalidate the idea. You have enough information to follow through 'again' on recommended move to root. (move files/set base uri) If you are unable to move the shop yourself or with more community help then I suggest posting in job offers, good workers for very reasonable rates. (this rather than bumping the thread or posting something that was not recommened, i.e. multishop)
