One step forward 3 steps back! Can't load images to Category or Products again!

This issue is killing me!!!

 

I have just successfully moved an entire Prestashop configuration from "www.domain.com/prestashop" to a new Host and domain, "www.domainnew.com/prestashop".

 

Version 1.6.0.9.

 

Everything is up and running fine.....or so I thought.

 

I went into the back end and created a new Category and tried to add an image but I get the error message saying "Image format not recognized, allowed formats are: .gif, .jpg, .png".

 

I then tried this when creating a Product and the same error!!!!!

 

I have also checked the permissions of the folder and they look fine.

 

It is definitely a jpg file.

 

I then tested it on the original "www.domain.com" environment and it works.

 

What the hell is going on?

 

I had this issue previously on version 1.6.0.6 and had to totally reinstall from scratch and upgraded to  1.6.0.9.

 

Somebody please help!!!!

I have continued to test this to see if it was somehow related to the .htaccess file but it does not appear to be.

 

I turned on debug mode and tried to attach/upload an image file to a Product and this time received the following error:

 

"JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data"

 

I have also attached the error message that is displayed when "debug" is turned on and I tried to login to the back office or start the front office.

 

 

I hope somebody can look into this as a matter of importance.

Ok guys, I installed "Store Commander"  to see if it could add image files and it now all works both via Store Commander and the BO...
