Add to cart with quantity in product list

Hi prestashop experts 

 

I would like to change the add to cart function within the category template so that I can change the quantity like in the detail page. What is the best way to achieve this? Adapt the product-list.tpl manually or add a module? 

 

My first idea was to copy the "buy_block"  form from product.tpl and just change the variables corresponding to the product-list.tpl.
