exposeclothing
in the other prestashop versions, i used just normal "Paypal" with the normal "Paypal module"... As soon as i installed 1.6 i started receiving emails from paypal saying ..... Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:http://www.exposeclothing.com.au/paypal_ipn.aspIf you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.Sincerely,PayPal So i thought well ill have to configure the module like i did on PS 1.5. but when searching for the modules i see a paypal module for EU or USA.... does this mean i can no longer use paypal, as im located in Australia? bellini13
no, ignore the naming convention, the best I can tell it is marketing/branding. Paypal was just renamed "Paypal Europe", but they are the same module. This is not a valid IPN URL. Perhaps you have enabled IPN within your Paypal account, and you have hard coded this URL? http://www.exposeclo.../paypal_ipn.asp If so, you should go into your Paypal account and disable IPN. It is not necessary to enable and hardcode IPN. The module will instruct Paypal where to send the IPN, even if disabled in your account. So start by confirming in your Paypal account, if IPN is enabled and what the URL is.
exposeclothing
Thank you so much for clearing that up for me Bellini, for a while i was starting to think i had to change store platforms so i could use the regular paypal. I kept looking for the paypal module in the modules section, but its not listed, i even searched for it, and couldnt see it, so i downloaded it from the prestashop add-on store, and even though it says it was already installed, now i can actually view it in the back office, which means i can configure it. but first of all ill do as you suggest and make sure the paypal IPN is not enabled
