How to set Categories Block current category as root category just once

Hello,

 

In the "Categories Block" module i enabled the "Current category" in "Category root" option.

But I want to stop setting the current category as category root at the second level of my categories.

Something like in my homepage my menu displays my 1st level categories and when I click one of them, it should display its 2nd level categories and go no more levels down.

I tried editing modules/blockcategories/blockcategories.php but I had no luck.

Any tips or workarounds?

i think that in your case module like "multiple categories block" will solve problem.

i had similar problem, once i installed it i got category block as i wanted

Thanks, I'll look about it. Meanwhile i managed to make it work setting the appropriate category ids in the blockcategories.php.
