lateral
Hi guys The more I learn and play with Prestashop the more I like the functionality that it has. What I don't like is that it appears that this FREE SHIPPING! bug issue in the Shopping Cart module has not been resolved. Yes, I have read all of the posts etc but nothing is a clear and definitive fix. It appears that all of the fixes etc are very "hit and miss". Surely one of the experts can shed some light on this major issue and provide a fix? Please, please please!
musicmaster
In many cases this "bug" is caused by an implementation error. Prestashop standard orders its carriers by price. That means that when you have an option "retrieve from our shop" with zero costs that will be the default carrier. Solution is to tell PS to keep a different order. lateral
Hi Music Master. By "implementation error" do you mean "configuration error" I also have only a single carrier that is "enabled". The following is his summary: This carrier is not free and the delivery announced is: Pick up at Rod Penrose Racing. The shipping cost is calculated according to the price and the tax rule No tax will be applied. This carrier can deliver orders from 1.000000 $ to 1000000.000000 $. If the order is out of range, the behavior is to apply the cost of the highest defined range. This carrier will be proposed for those delivery zones I have attached some screen shots..... lateral
I thought that I could use the Translation function within Prestashop to simply change the text "Free Shipping!" to "Contact use for Shipping quote" but it doesn't work... The Translation functionality works in other areas... Does anybody know why?
lateral
Problem solved!!! I figured out that I needed to "translate" the actual module, Block Cart, via the translation option in the back office.....
