PS1.6 Default theme, move logo 10 px higher, move cart block to right

After I have disabled the search block, the cart block now appears in the center of the page (this will happen with the default them 1.6.0.9.

 

1) Move logo , search bar, and cart block all 20px higher

2) If i remove the search bar, the cart block shifts to the center, how do i keep this right

3) I enabled the search bar in the top horizontal menu, however it is not as good as the quick search block module, how do i then move the quick search block module to the right side of the top horizontal menu? is it possible?

this is all new installation with default theme.

to cart block main div block add class with offset

col-sm-offset-4

then it will be moved to the right
