Very important problem with paypal module

Hello guys,

 

It was the first time i saw this.. a customer succedeed to pass 2 sames orders, at the same time, both marked as "paid with paypal", with only one paypal payment! (so he could offer himself the second order for free)

Both order had the same paypal transaction number.. (to resume, he succeeded to order 2 x 200euros and paid only 200euros)

 

anyone aware of this ? it is the first time it happened to me.

did you install a module and/or hack dealing with orders?

 

this may be in conflict (bad module) creating issue.

I'm only using the 3 standards payment modules, paypal, bank transfert and check and we dont use any other module dealing with orders or payment.

 

This only happended once but im still amazed of this thing : 2 differents orders were created at the same time, same products in them but differents order numbers, both marked as (paypal) "payment accepted" with only one same paypal reference transaction marked in both orders. (indeed customer made only one payment)

 

the only thing i know is that the customer is someone pretty old and not very used to internet. (not a hacker for sure )

The paypal module i use is like 6month old (not the very last version) but this really shouldnt happen anyway.

The issue is not normal, the only thing I can think of is that they might have reloaded the paypal page at some point and it sent two responses. Let us know if you see it happen again.
