ralfabs
I know this has been discussed before, I have read a couple of posts on this topic. I also cannot get rid of my cart saying Free Shipping! and adding nothing to the order price. The only thing I haven't tried is editing html, but a couple of solutions were suggested, I don't know which to try. I have no shipping module installed. Any suggestions?? If I cannot fix this, I will have to ditch PS. I am using version 1.6.0.9 Help me please!!!
Prestawise
I'm not sure that i understand your issue.. Do you want to translate the text or remove it from the cart? .
ralfabs
I want to remove it from the cart and I want the cart to calculate a postage charge. I don't think that is unreasonable! But it seems to be beyond me!
parsifal
Hello ralfabs. It looks like you want the opposite of what another member was asking here. So, you should change the default carrier to one that includes the shipping cost you want... ralfabs
I only have one carrier, took all others out in a desperate attempt to get the cart to calculate a shipping rate.
Naldinho
Basically just to be clear you want to remove the Free Shipping and replace it with an actual cost? That happens automatically once the user enters an address or logs in. For a unknown user you get the Free Shipping. I didn't like that so I followed this post's instructions and changed it to a different phrase. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/320212-solved-ps-16-always-free-shipping-in-the-cart/page-3?do=findComment&comment=1723357 Unless your shipping is flat rate you can't have a value in there until an address is known so I went with something about shipping being calculated after address is entered. If your shipping is flat rate then you can just change the phrase to that flat rate fee,
ralfabs
Oh right, that sorts it all out. I have since managed to get a shipping rate. I will also use this little fix. I don't like it to say "Free shipping" either. Thanks.
