Show Text if Product is not available for sale

Hi,

 

I try to solve a problem in product-list.tpl.

 

I want to show a text if the product is not set to be available for order.

 

So I tried

 

{if (isset($product.available_for_order) && $product.available_for_order)}
  ...

{else}

Text
 {/if}

 

but without sucsess. Any suggestions?

I've just tried this code on my site and it went through ok.

Are you sure you're displaying the content properly? Couldn't it be inside a div which is hidden?

Can you check the source code of your site?

 

Have you cleared cache?
