Master One
I am using v1.6.0.9 with the default-bootstrap template right now, but I plan to copy the default template folder to a new one and starting making my desired modifications from there. I have made some modifications to my installed languages (English and German) and now I am wondering about updating languages when updating to newer versions of PrestaShop. On Crowdin I can see that the German translation for v1.6.0.10 is 99% completed. Will installed languages automatically be updated when updating to a new version of PrestaShop? Are language definitions stored in the template folder or in the database (because it says If you choose to update an existing language pack, all of your previous customizations in the theme named "Default-bootstrap" will be lost. This includes front-office expressions and default email templates. in Localization >> Translations)? Will a new version of PrestaShop released even without a major language (like German) being 100% completed? Are changes done to already completed languages and when would it be necessary to update a language using Localization >> Translations >> Add/Update a Langage? So when using an own template (or in my case modified default template in a new theme folder) I have to take care of changes/additions to installed languages myself? How does it work to install a new language when not using the default template? I am clearly having difficulties understanding the exact workings of the languages setup, so hopefully someone with more insight can throw some light on that matter.
