lateral
Hi, I need some help to understand how I determine which modules a theme uses. Is there a simple way to find this out? I am using version 1.6.0.9 of Prestashop and a template that I have purchased. Paulito
Hello Not sure I understand the question but: If it is a Default Prestashop template then all the modules you see can or are being used If you have bought a theme using the Prestashop engine then you will probably find that the developer has added some of his/her own modules, and also disabled some of the default modules to avoid any conflict between the two. If you are not sure asked the developers or just look at the modules in the back office Paul
lateral
Hi Paul Thanks for the quick reply. Perhaps I am "over thinking" this. Ok, if I go to "Modules" in the bac koffice does it display all of the modules that are available as part of this installation. It shows if they are installed, disabled etc? Is this correct? It is them up to the individual theme to determine which of the modules it will utilize? I this correct? If a theme wants to use a module that is disabled or not installed etc, then some sort of error will be displayed? Is this correct? What does the "green" vertical highlight around the "checkbox" next to the module mean??? I wanted to upload a screen shot but couldn't see how. Thanks Regards Greg
Paulito
Hello 1. Yes, also, the back office will show modules that you can use but have yet to be installed and configured. 2. No, it is up to you to decide which modules you want to use 3. The theme will not know about a module if it is not enabled/installed 4. Not sure what "Green" highlight you are referring to but, if it's green, it should be ok To upload an image click "More reply options" then attach file, or use any of the free options you can find on the web http://screencast.com/t/YwmArv51qA Paul Edited August 25, 2014 by Paulito (see edit history)
lateral
Hi Paul Thanks again. I have uploaded a screen shot and included some arrows to the "green highlight" I mentioned. I understand what you are saying. My last question is....if a theme that has been purchased has been designed to utilize specific modules, how do I know this?
