frank_jarle
Hi I kinda feel dumb right now, normally i find most things doing search in forum or reading the manual. But this time it seems i have missed something. I have just installed prestashop on a domain, the installation then reported that prestashop is now accessible through www.abc1234567890.com/prestashop. I would like Prestashop be available from the main site, www.abc1234567890.com so the visitors does not need to enter anything else than the name of the web site. How and where do i fix this? El Patron
yes, well you made a bit of a boo boo...you installed in sub directory, so this results in the obnoxious subdirectory path name. can you move shop to root so you see the domain name without sub-directory, i.e. is there another website there? spiralbean
All you have to do is 1. Copy all your files from /prestashop to / 2. Edit your configration file to reflect the new path And you are done
frank_jarle
Thanks for the reply guys i appreciate it very much. (I was hopting it was something similar as Wordpress, install the application on a sub-folder, move couple of files to make it available on the main-site....How wrong i was). Well this is my own site, it's a fresh installation, so i can just redo it. I thank you both for both answers (excelt and quick respons from both of you). Not sure which config-files you refer to in point 2, but since this is a fresh installation, i am thinking if i should uninstall all and just start from scratch, it took just few minutes with script anyway.
