lateral
Hi Guys I successfully installed Prestashop with the sample data and template and started to play around. The MySQL database that was being used was called "db1". I then purchased a Template from templatemonster and successfully installed it. It also had sample data but I did not initially install the sample data as I was having trouble setting the new template as the default template. I decided to see if I could import the sample data from the templatemonster template into the "db1" database but no luck. I then though, ok, simply delete "db1", recreate it and then import the tables and data....this worked ok. I did not backup the original database and data (yep, I know it was silly!). You experts probably can see where this is going.....now I can't login to the backend. My question is this, how can I easily reinstal the original database and data so that I can get back into the backend? Thanks for your help with this. lateral
I just figured out that I could simply copy the original install folder and run the installation again. Regards Greg
spiralbean
What you should have done is change the configuration file to point the database to the original one
