El Patron
If it does not specifically say it supports at least 1.6, then assume it does not. when looking at themes, ask developer if templates is using bootstratp and especially if supports loading javascript bottom. Which is new feature in 1.6 and a must have.

El Patron
make sure to get the 'best in class' compliant 1.6 theme possible. it's all about the theme, if you use poorly crafted theme, then all will be lost. the javascript bottom, I can not stress this enough, is muy importante to google, i.e. visitor experience..decrease 'above the fold' content. lateral
Hi El Patron, How do I determine if a theme is "best in class"? Regards Greg
El Patron
Hi El Patron, How do I determine if a theme is "best in class"? Regards Greg when looking at themes, ask developer if templates is using bootstrap and especially if supports loading javascript bottom. Which is new feature in 1.6 and a something you want to run. leo themes as an example (they also sell on addon's, and other places) seem to support this but checking first will be a good idea. El Patron
what to require of template: bo-->advanced parms-->performance-->along with other settings, the holy grail for theme is 'load JavaScript bottom'.
lateral
I am not seeing what you are saying. Do you mean "Move JavaScript to the end" should be set to YES?

prestashopninja
Hi, As @ElPatron says, best is to contact the designer first. However, unlike upgrades from 1.4 to 1.5, I must also add that I didn't face any big problems with the themes when upgrading to 1.5 to 1.6 and I think you can still use themes without bootstrap.
