patelbhavin
Hi, I am trying to install Prestashop 1.6.0.9 version on shared hosting from SiteGround.com. While installation of software process stop at 78% when installation process reaches at "Installing Addons". I tried for three four times but no luck. Even tried solution that was giving in other post but still no luck. Also gone through installation guide but no resolution giving there. Guide only has normal installation process but not any kind of specific error resolution. One more thing I notice is if I do installation with Softaculous it gets completed so this shows there is no issue with hosting. Just I get this error when I do separate direct installation with out Softaculous Right now we are in process of evaluation process for our new ecommerce business and Prestashop in one among other Four. So I seriously look for the solution here to conclude final best platform. Also attaching screen shot of error.

El Patron
visit your hosting account (log in), and check the php and apache error logs. also, I think (never done this) that you can turn on ps error reporting during installation, let's say at db verification. open file config/defines.inc.php set to true (make sure to set to false later) define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true); --also I have seen some issues when installed in other language than English, what those other languages were I am not sure)...so if not installing in English, try that...you can import your language and set as default later. stellatmy
Hi, I faced this problem before. It's due to Siteground's execution limit since it's shared hosting. You have to ask Siteground on this issue. They will charge an amount to do the installation for you. Alternatively you have to use localhost method to do the installation then upload it to your server. You should check with SiteGround as they can assist to check their log to identify the problem. When I faced this problem, their reply is this: On our shared servers we have set the max_execution_time for PHP to 45 seconds. This is a global setting that cannot be changed individually. This is done to ensure that all our customers use a fair share of the server resources and to prevent users from overloading the shared server.
