[Solved]How to add transaction costs to payments

Recommended Posts

purchase one of the existing modules that do this already.  perform a search on the forums, or in google, or on the addons store

i searched at the forum and i cant find anything about it

why to purchase a module this are things that HAS to be free because paypal transaction cost 0.35% of total cost so i will lose money for getting money

so i need to add the add transaction costs so that i don't LOSE money for getting money

I suppose you are entitled to your opinion, and you can feel free to open a feature request and hope that Prestashop would include something like this in a future release of Prestashop.

However until that time, you can purchase a module that allows you to add a transaction fee to an order based on the method of payment.

You can do a google search using "prestashop payment module fees"

it's against PayPal terms and conditions as well as most all other payment gateways to charge additional fee.

also, if I went to your shop, and you charged me for using paypal or cc, I'd leave in less than one second

you are of course free to do with as you like with your shop but thinking adding a fee is not very savvy.

I would suggest your read the Terms and Conditions that you have likely agreed to when you signed up to use Paypal

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full

4.6 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.

well...uhm...now you can whine at them....jajajaja

glad you now know, it's not 'normal' and while PayPal is not going to come  after you..it gives poor visitor experience.
