Installation results in blank page

I installed PrestShop using softaculous and I get blankpages for the siteand administrator pages. I'm running on a whm/cpanel server 11.44.1, php 5

How do I solve this issue

you should consider starting over (clean files and db) and install using ps download

I re-installed it again, same issue. I couldn't find the lines specified for error reporting, however I did find it in defines.inc.php and the error I get is

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mcrypt_encrypt() in /home/radiant/public_html/classes/Rijndael.php on line 50

mcrypt is not installed on your hosting, I suggest contacting hosting and ask them to enable on your hosting.

 

re: above, you are 1.5.3.1+ so follow those instructions, and then as suggested in that post, search on error, I did this for you but you can most often find issue/solution by using 'prestashop (variants of error message).   this so you are not reliant on someone else for every little issue.
