webbwayne
Hi there, I'm having a really weird issue with Presatshop and I can't figure it out. I'm using Hostmonster as my host, our primary domain is www.nebtek.com (our current store) but we are moving our store to a subdomain and upgrading to Prestashop in the mean time. So I bought a wildcard SSL to cover both Nebtek.com and all subdomains. When i go to enable SSL for the website, I just get this weird reload to our primary website. Example http://store.nebtek.com - this works just fine but when you put this https://store.nebtek.com, it rewrites it as http again. If I try a different page http://store.nebtek.com/stores - this works but when I do this https://store.nebtek.com/stores , it redirects me to a "not found" page in our old www.nebtek.com page. Anyone having the same issue? I've contacted hostmonster several times over the last 2 days and they've assured me it's something with Prestashop, not with hostmonster. Am I doing something wrong? MacRoy
Hi! Have you enabled SSL in PrestaShop? If so, did you get any error message? You do that in General. Regards MacRoy
webbwayne
The SSL enable slider button doesn't show up in my settings. It's just a link that redirects me out of the website. It's strange.
MacRoy
How do you mean exactly! Do you have a picture of it?
webbwayne
Here you go. This is what it looks like. I click on the link and it takes me to the not found page again.
MacRoy
Thank you! It was exactly what I suspected. Indeed, I myself have had exactly the same problem! The solution lay in the server settings, the path to the certificates. Hope this helps you. As you see, is not the issue in this case on Prestashop. By the way, very good looking web shop you have. Good Luck! With best regards Edited August 20, 2014 by MacRoy (see edit history)
webbwayne
So you think it's an issue with my hosting provider? As far as settings are concerned.

webbwayne
Hmmm... Any other solutions? I spoke with hostmonster again, this time after breaking the website, and they assured me it's a setting in Prestashop. It's strange, http://store.nebtek.com works but when you check https://store.nebtek.com it loads are site on our primary domain. Anyone else have this issue? Anything I should specifically be asking hostmonster?
MacRoy
Have you enabled Friendy URL in Prestashop?
webbwayne
Yeah, I have. Would that screw it up?
MacRoy
It will not do! But I think you should try to disable it temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
generalexperts
I'm using PS 1.5.4.1. I was able to click on the link on the BO of PS and a new page would open. After getting that to work (clearing chache, and modifying the address), I was able to enable SSL. Finally it worked. There was one person at Hostmonster that helped me a lot out of about 10. And verified it had nothing to do with my files ie .htaccess. Edited August 22, 2014 by generalexperts (see edit history)
Funny-Cat WebShop
https://store.nebtek.com/storesworks here, well kinda. It sends me to the correct page just no SSL (browser chrome 36.0.1985.143 on windows 7) access your BackOffice using SSL https://store.nebtek.com/admin-WHATEVERPATH/ enable SSL on that settings page you showed and re-generate the .htaccess file (assuming you have one) since it might contain some redirection from https to http also if you have access to your apache httpd.conf file that could be useful to check for RewriteCond and RewriteRule directives. When we try to access https://store.nebtek.com we get a 301 response HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently That redirects us to the http version of the website so it must be either on your httpd.conf or on .htaccess file Edited August 22, 2014 by Funny-Cat WebShop (see edit history)
