Country Drop down menu Tranlation issue.

Recommended Posts

In presta 1.6.0.8 Is problem with  country list translation.

Default languages in front office  drop down ment is  languages used in back office.

How to display country name in customer selected language??

Is very non proffesional  when your customer using other then default store language has displayed country list not in his language.

I found on the forum small program CLDRify v1.0 to translate  country name, but I getting error on PS 1.6.0.8.

Is any other way to translate country names?? Yes I can use country name translation in back office, but we have to made this manually and for all languages instaled in the strore.

this is 'typically'  done for you when you import a translation pack.  we would want to do this when we add a new language to your shop.

if you did not import translation pack or one does not exist for your language.

then manually is required.

yes, I understood your original question, I think this explanation will help you more.

if you did not import the language pack bo-->localization-->localization

then you will need to change the country xlation

bo-->localization-->countries-->edit country-->modify xlation
