Vaupell
Hi, using 1.6.0.8. Does anyone have a working template for importing products in prestashop 1.6? The default one that comes with the shop dosen't even work, default categories are fine, however importing products just gives the basic (old) errors either {productName} cant be saved without futher explanation, and/or {EAN13} error.. Vaupell
Partial found a possible error.. Downloading the sample products page, and re-importing it instantly works, However, after opening it in Excel, and just saving it as CSV instantly makes PS import fail with the error above. So excel does something to the file that makes it fail. HOWEVER, I was able to download the sample categories file and edit it, and save it same method and it uploaded just fine. What the hell is going on with this import tool.
Vaupell
Further investigation... I redownloaded the sample files 2 more times. 1 I opned with excel, did nothing just closed and saved again. 2 I did nothing 2. The one i opened with Excel just fails on Import. The one i did nothing to works fine. Then I Compared the 2 files, and they are "Identical" only difference is the timestamp when created/modified See the image.. Any ideas what kind of software i should use to edit the CSV files with when PrestaShop dosent support one of the most commen CSV editors around, Excel.
