Changing the position of product attributes

Hey guys! I'm a bit of a noob here and I was wondering if I could do the following:

 

I'd like to display the attributes (drop down menu's in this case) in a full page length style. And I would like them in place of the description on the product pages.

 

I'm creating a website where a user would be able to customize a computer. So I have a lost of attributes and having a ton of drop down menus on the right hand side of the product just isn't working. So I would like them listed where the product description would go for a neater, cleaner look.
