Kstyle001
if a customer from america visits a EU shop, that customer does not have to pay taxes. But how do you set up these rules in prestashop? Thx in regard
El Patron
the first out of the box issue you will have is for some 'odd' reason, law maybe (so much for gun control) that group visitor is ALMOST ALWAYS set to 'tax included'. us buyers ain't going to like this out of the gate. so...even if you apply by country tax rules, and then http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Tax+Rules one must then go associate the new tax rule to each individual product...hope you don't have loads of products.can I get a holy cow? holy cow hopefully your experience will be better than my advice
El Patron
tip: to help circumvent this issue, create ccTLD domains using Multishop. for .com use tax excluded. (US localized, yep..al gore invented internet so .com is signal for US) for .eu or other ccTLD that requires the 'stupid' tax included...create mutlishops for them. this has extra benefit of increasing seo and being able to localize your shop by country.... woot woot
