rfourt
Hello i have a problem with PS 1.6.9. SEO EXPERT module.I have set that my URLS to my products should consists of {product_name} {product_description_short} But for some reason the url looks something like thisExample:www.myshop.com/7-myproductname-myshortproductdescription.htmlThe URL adds my product ID to all the URLS.I have found that you can edit this in the SEO sextion in PS but it tells me im not allowed to remove the {ID} tag from that.So how to fix this becouse i dont think google likes my ids very much.Thank you. Dh42
The only real option is to get a module that takes the id out of the url, there are a couple I have seen for sale. I do not know if it will be compatible with that module though.

How can you call this a SEO Expert module? im very not much a expert in SEO but i do know that google dosnt like numbers in a product name- Let say im a perfume webshop. and sell Gucci parfumes. So this mean that i should SEO optimise my google rankings with keywords like 325 - Gucci Parfume. or if i have 2400 products i should SEO optimize my keywords for 2399 - Gucci Parfume. LoL cmon. i hope this is not true. and you just read my question wrong.
Dh42
No, I know exactly what you are talking about and this module does not do what you are looking for. It doesn't mention that it does on the page either, http://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo-prestashop-modules/16939-seo-expert.html I think you are looking for something along this line, http://www.fmemodules.com/en/49-pretty-urls.html but I don't know if they will work together. No it dosnt say it takes away the ID but it do say: This SEO Expert module automatically fills in both meta tags and social media meta tags to optimize your online store for better visibility on search engines and social media platforms. With the SEO Expert module: Appear on first page results on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, etc. Multiply your sales with increased web traffic Improve visibility for each language of your store Increase your conversions with qualified traffic Differentiate your store with fully customized rules for product and category pages So how can you say it will increase my traffic when default URL without the SEO EXPERT module is: www.myshop.com/7-printed-chiffon-dress.html And with the SEO Expert module activated the URL is exactly the same www.myshop.com/7-printed-chiffon-dress.html the only thing this module does is letting me choose what keywords and description to use in category level wich i allready can do myself by just copying the products in the same category. i think i want a refund.. Becouse this module will not help at all getting my ranking higher from the default functions.. It only shorten the time it takes for me to add keywords descriptions to my categories wich everyone does anyway. its a good module perhaps if you have a website with over 500 products and want to change this in one click but to say it will bost your traffic is just not true if you allready are using the default functions correctly. from the desciption of this module it seems like it will boost your website "EXTRA"
rfourt
Im sorry if i sound angry.. im not its just that the description of the module make it seem very much more then it really is. For a user that has not added keywords, or any other META info to their products and categories and have allot of products this is a great product but for normal users who use the default META/SEO functions that already are included in PS this module dosnt do anything more to boost you website i believe
andrew.irpin
Hello. I also have a problem with SEO expert, and I decided to write this theme. SEO expert 3.0.11, Prestashop 1.5.6.1 I have multistore with two shops and two root categories (one for each shop). The problem is: when I try to create a rule in mail shop - everything is correct and works fine. But when I choose the other shop and try to create a MetaTag or Url rule - the module displays just the main category of the first shop (not from the second). It doesn't show categories from the second shop at all. Maybe you'll help me to find the part of code i need to change/ Regards.
