Marcus57
Hi When customers go to pay, they're given a zip code to fill in. Being a UK based company mainly selling to the UK, this is bad. IT doesn't allow letters to go in so does anyone know how I will be able to change that part from zip code to post code? when customers are paying and putting in their contact information. NemoPS
Please forgive my ignorance, what do you exactly mean by post code? I thought they were the same with zip (wiki: A postal code (known in various countries as a post code, postcode, or ZIP code in USA) ) You can change the format in the single country settings under localization, countries, but it only allows numbers
Marcus57
Thanks for replying. ZIP Code is American and seems to have no letters in them, whilst UK post codes have letters, such as BL for Bolton. Many UK buyers, or even EU wont know what a zip code is. When they will type it in they will be like "ok my post code ____" and UK post codes are half letters, if they can't put their post code in they can't fill out the details for paying for the product and you can see why that is bad. Why does it only allow numbers? are you sure?
Paulito
Hello How do have this set up in: Back office 》 Localization 》Countries 》 UK Edit Is it set up as LLNN NLL or NNNNNNN or is it blank Paul
Marcus57
It is currently blank, do we need information in there? thanks. what would leaving it blank do? We did manage to get a practice one through when testing the purchase, it's just someone was saying they tried and were unable to insert in their post code. Paulito
Hello As far as I know if it is blank then Prestashop will not validate the post code so you should be able to add anything in this field. Using your example of a Bolton postcode, eg, BL21 1AA have tried adding this format: LLNN NLL I am not sure what Prestashop does with spaces in UK postcodes Paul
