asgllccb
I have been searching and trying everything I can for days to resolve the problem of not having the sign in function in the top area of my site. Please know that I am working on a backed up version of my site on a wamp server that I upgraded. Anyway, I have no block "displaynav" in my positions or in my database...it is no where to be found. Is this block necessary for the "sign in feature to exist and work in 1.6, if so, how can I get it?

dioniz
Do you have {hook h="displayNav"} in header.tpl of your template?
asgllccb
Thank you for responding. Yes it is there. I'm using the default bootstrap theme. I have noticed that it is not listed in the mysql database PS_hook tables Edited August 14, 2014 by asgllccb (see edit history)

asgllccb
Hellllooo out there.... (wait...I think I just heard an echo...ha ha, jk) Pleeaase... In my comparisons, it seems that this hook is associated with being able to sign in from the front office, which is not working. I reall.y need help with this. asgllccb
Still don't have the display nav module, but got the sign in problem fixed here: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/352109-no-sign-in-function-for-the-front-office-after-update/?do=findComment&comment=1770949 So I will set this as resolved unless there are further problems with the nav module.
