wallchopz
Hi, I have generated product combinations. Let's say I'm selling perfumes. So I have these following combinations: Scent - Strawberry; Volume - 50mL Scent - Grape; Volume - 50mL Scent - Morning Mist; Volume - 50mL Scent - Strawberry; Volume - 150mL Scent - Grape; Volume - 150mL Scent - Morning Mist; Volume - 150mL The product price is $50. So in my generation setting, I put in an increased price impact for the 150mL volume, which is $50, so it would result to having a price of $100. I also have assigned different images for each combination. Now, my client is asking me to change the price for the 150mL volume products, changing it to $150, instead of $100. So technically, I need to change the increased price impact to $100, so it would result to having a price of $150 for all 150mL products. Is there a way to change the settings for these combinations without having to generate the combinations again or edit them one by one? Because I need to keep the images I had assigned for the current product combinations. And if I do it one by one, it would take forever to edit 50 different product combinations. Naldinho
For something simple like that regenerating the combinations seems like the easiest option. For a really complex product it might be worth using CSV import -- I use these for some of the more complex products in the store and saves a lot of time over manual editing. The product needs to get fairly complex to make this worth doing.
wallchopz
Hi Naldinho, Thank you for your reply and your suggestion. Do I need to manually create a CSV file for the combinations? Or is there a way to export the existing combinations? Edited August 13, 2014 by wallchopz (see edit history)
tomerg3
Changing it directly in the DB would probably be the easiest option. If all you products use the same combinations, you could use one of our attribute modules (Wizard, Grid or Product List http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/9-attribute-modules ) as they all have the ability to copy all the combinations from one product to another (or to all products in a category)
wallchopz
Hi tomerg3, Thanks for the reply. I'm not looking for a module that can copy all the combinations from one product to another. What I need is a mass update on product combinations, and not to have to go through each one of them to update. Do any of your modules have this ability? tomerg3
Yes, http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/80-mass-combination-editor.html will let you edit all the combination of a single product on one page.
