Why modules are attached to multiple hooks?

Recommended Posts

for example, if module is attached to header hook it means that it (module) probably loads some css / js conents  - these contents are usually necessary for module to run smoothly. and what about other hooks? well, these modules are associated with other hooks because... they just can appear there / or do some actions (actions hooks)

Hi, I want to show my Categories, for example, Fashion Bags at the top menu bar and I can't find a way to do it.

Apparently I have got rid of the top column settings in my Backoffice and it won't let me get the top column template thing back.

im affraid that i dont get it,

what you mean by top column ? it's quite unknow thing for me at the moment

regarding to top menu module,

you can do everything on module configuration page

tak a look, open module page and magange menu items there,

select your category menu and add it to the "selected items" box as i show on video

(instead of custom link - just select category)

To be able to add my main categories at the top of my page I need to find Top Horizontal or something and it's just not there. I think I have either deleted it or unhooked it and been told I need a total reset of my back office and store.
