GoDaddy didn't install csv examples v. 1.6.0.9

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to test out prestashop over on a shared Linux hosting environment at GoDaddy.  Our store has a few thousand products and it is critical that we have a simple csv import function.  The method to get the csv template is to go to advanced parameters-->csv import-->Download sample csv files (on the right hand side of page).  Under that section there are example CSV files to download so I can populate the fields with the store I want to transfer over from another ecommerce store as we are not happy with that online store service.

I have read through http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/CSV+Import+Parameters and it only points to the example CSV files that are not loaded on my install.

Over with GoDaddy, the CSV files are not there and I checked through FTP and the folder where the CSV files is simply not installed.  I am having trouble locating the CSV template files for this version of PrestaShop and since this is my first time using the product as a beta test I don't know how to export to get the correct file format.

My questions are two fold:

1.  Where can I download the entire folder that contains the CSV example files for CSV imports?

2.  How can I export products from PrestaShop so that I can use that as a rudimentary backup and/or migration tool in the future with the format required for importing new products or price changes?
