HH Services Limited
Hello everybody, I get the following message from GMT after making some necessary changes: Do I just leave this issue alone and after a while let google realize they don´t longer exist, or should I make something about it? If so what? I am sure many people find this same issue... Anybody knows how to go on this one? Maybe removing the URL of the deletedpages from google WMT? Dh42
Regenerate a new site map and submit it. You will have to many delete the errors though. I would suggest just leaving the pages and not deleting them in the future, and make it where people cannot order the products.
HH Services Limited
Thanks for the reply.. What I did was changing the URL´s for all these pages that give errors, so leave them there was not an option. As for the sitemap, I had done it already, so I am wondering now if should delete ("remove") the url for the pages that give problems and from GWMT Should I remove them? Any other suggestions? Thank you again Dh42
saranrajj
Ya those worng url can be deleted from crawl errors. so that those url dont get indexed in SERP.
HH Services Limited
it is not from the crawl errors page where you delete these pages, it is from the delete url´s page wher you do it. Its a difference since you can also delete these from the crawl errors page which at the end does not delete them from SERp..
laziali
Hey, Anthony, how is this situation developed for you?I have same thing here and i am wondering what to do?
HH Services Limited
I deleted the url using webmasters tools but it didnt have any effect on the crawl errors page. This is probably due to the fact that it says there that crawl errors are shown for the last 90 days, so I figured that it is not showing actual errors since the pages for which it shows errors have been deleted. I decided to wait over 90 days to see what happens (still waiting). Anyways, google doesnt penalize for 404 errors, so i figure that it is not a priority...I decided to wait then... laziali
hi, i had the same problem. what i did was generating /1_index_sitemap.xml and submitting it to webmaster tools. its a small file indexing sitemaps. also marked all my errors as fixed in webmaster tools. now 404 errors are decreasing rapidly, so i guess its working, but will have to confirm in time
