eyecandy
ive created my shop. ive added 3 modules, my starnet-world one to import and keep products updated (about 5000 products) a translate one (thats not worked) and a csv export one that i have got a refund for as purchased wrong one. godaddy have a set limit for file usage and i think all of the above is the reason i have reached the limit. now my shop wont load. i cant believe that i cant have a shop with 2 or 3 modules without reaching file usage limit but i assume this must be the case. please can anyone confirm? and also if this is the reason for me reaching file limit can anyone suggest who would be best suitable to host a prestashop with as i cant add any more modules if it just means i hit the file usage limit all the time and stop my shop from loading. godaddy file usage is limit of 250,000. please dont delete this post if its in the wrong place i apologise
El Patron
ps is not designed to 'limit' file access based on hosting limitations. your only real solution is to move to different hosting package (think cloud). good luck

El Patron
here is related article, but please use google search and catch up with where hosting services are now. http://blog.dh42.com/prestashop-cloud/ I am not recommending any one cloud service, this is an article with link that will let you test drive the concept. vekia
i have no idea how cloud services work in this case: for exmaple, we installed some mega menu module that contains some breaking points in code, these vulunerabilities generat memory leak (a lot of examples on ps forum with memory exceeded error) as i understand, cloud service will allow to run script with memory leak, and at the end of the month our billing will be equal to NASA budget? I've not heard (which does not mean much) about memory leak creating additional fees, make sure quality cloud, look for reviews... but just about 'anything' is better than running on shared account where mod_expires is disabled. eyecandy
ok think this going off topic a bit. i just wanted to know.... a) if the number of products + data from my modules have caused me to reach my godaddy file usage limit and if that is the case, what do other people on here use for hosting where file usage limit is not an issue/ unlimited

parsifal
Hello eyecandy. You use a shared hosting package from GoDaddy, correct? There are some shared hosting providers that, in addition to a limit in the total file storage they offer you (xxx Megabytes or Gigabytes), they impose an extra limit for inode usage. I think that this one is the limit you have reached. You should move to a hosting provider (either shared hosting or VPS hosting if you know what you're doing) that doesn't have this nonsense limit in inodes...
