Guest Account - Does not show Shipping charges at checkout

Recommended Posts

Hello -

I have just recently re-launched my new Website after converting manually from another shopping cart software product that was over 15 years old.  I am now using PrestaShop 1.5.6.2  My new website is at  http://www.vintagevogue.com

My question:  Whenever I try to setup Guest Account, so people can shop and order without having to "register", I have found that with the Guest Account, the shipping charges will not show up.  I have been running tests and have found a "Guest" could order products, check out using PayPal, and end up not having to pay any Shipping Charges for their merchandise.  This is not acceptable, as I would start loosing a lot of money having to pay All Shipping for any "Guest" accounts.

How can I get Shipping Charges to show up with the Guest Account so that I can activate and use that type of account?  I'm afraid that if I turn off "Guest Account" that I my be loosing sales as some people do not want to have to register in order to place an order.  Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.  This is my first attempt at using PrestaShop and it's been a struggle for 4 months to get everything working correctly.

Thank you for taking time to read this post, and I'm hoping someone will reply and help me to resolve this Guest Account Issue.

Hello El Patron -

Thank you for your comments.  I am using the Default Theme for PrestaShop 1.5.6.2  I have the normal multipage checkout that comes with PrestaShop.  I have not found any One Page Checkout modules.  Are there any you could recommend?  I'm afraid the way I have my shop setup, I require customers to Register, before they can purchase products.  I've been to many other websites that allow you to purchase without having to register.  With my site, I'm not certain how to implement.  When I tried to use the Guest checkout, not requiring them to register, it would never add shipping charges.

If anyone has any suggestions how I can get past this, I would be deeply greatful.  My old shop was very "vanilla" so I never had to worry about these situations.  Now that I'm using a product that is 1000 times better than my old product, it's a little hard to get everything in the correct order.

Regards,

Steve
