PrestaShot
Please provide with your feedback on the following: Magento store: Right now we have about 120K SKUs and about 250K customers in our database and update our price & campaigns fews time per day. We have lots of SKUs and highly rotation and we feel that Magento indexing & API create lots of problem for us. (e.g. Price rules issues where products won't discounted, Products disappear from website & integration problem with ERP or warehouse system). Prestashop: Will this be sorted with Prestashop? Do you think Prestashop will fit our need? Are there any recommendation do you have?
El Patron
I think creating a test shop so you can test import of your production shop would be good experience and provide much needed info for you. managing that many products would probably require additional addon and/or a offline product like store commander. so creating test ps to experiment with would be worth the effort.

tuk66
PrestaShop is very database heavy, as well as Magento (probably, I don't know it too much). In my experience, 120K SKUs is over non-patched PrestaShop. You would need to test it and do heavy optimization in PrestaShop itself and your server as well.
Dh42
What is your current size server? Prestashop can handle and fix most of the issues that you are having with Magento, but at the same time it would require at dedicated server to handle that many products. But as far as your issues, yes they will more than likely be fixed or can be fixed. Also I would second El Patron's recommendation of using a 3rd party management solution for dealing with the products. Prestashop has a very inefficient way of loading them from the backed that will start draining server resources having a catalog that size.

benjamin utterback
Store Manager is the recommended one officially by PrestaShop. If you are doing this large migration, I would use them. They are partners as well so that's a good thing. Here's the link if you are interested. http://www.prestashop.com/en/industry-partners/management/emagicone
iero
i think your issue is not a matter of magento or prestashop but a matter of how you configure mysql, php, your server in general
