Nabbolo
Hello, I'm just starting to use this module, and I managed to get it working without big issues (just the first time a product has been exported to eBay with a different price, I don't know why, but next times i exported prices were ok) I have a eBay shop, I wonder if I can export to this shop the categories tree that I have in Prestashop, because if I import in eBay my products now, they are put in the shop all together. If it is not possible, how would you suggest to do? I see many shops with a lot of products and categories, and I just don't think they are doing everything manually (creating categories and putting by hand all new products) Thank you in advance! Nabbolo
It seems impossible to me that no one has done that automatically from PS to eBay
irrelevant
I did modify a old version of the eBay module to allow you to specify which shop category to use alongside the main ebay category. It's on my to-do list to port to the latest version...
Nabbolo
I did modify a old version of the eBay module to allow you to specify which shop category to use alongside the main ebay category. It's on my to-do list to port to the latest version... It would be a good improvement over the "stock" version already. A suggestion if you will have time to work on it: if you find out how to use the eBay APIs to create a new category on eBay shop, it shouldn't take too much time to integrate a sort of automatic syncronization of categories from PS database to eBay categories and as a consequence put the corresponding products into them. I just don't understand why the company which develops this module for PS and eBay doesn't support these very basic features, another example is the one I posted some days ago: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/349943-show-attribute-public-name-instead-of-name/

I did look into it at the time, and it was a bit more complicated than I wanted to get into at the time (limits on number of levels, having to send the whole tree up at once, what happens if you move or rename things, etc.) Other things I added - sending of barcodes, MPN, etc. I really ought to do these again; At least with 1.7.2 it works multi-store now, which is something I never got working reliably enough to use live!
