Integrate with existing site

Hello I'm new to PrestaShop and was wondering how easy it would be to integrate the active cart, login and buying aspects to an existing site, I do not need the template only the functionality of the cart itself.

 

I have been looking at the code and notice these areas have their allotted blocks, could I integrate these blocks into my current site using the hooks and if so would I have to point the path to the associated PrestaShop folders?

 

Any assistance is appreciated.

no answer because it's not easy as it seems.

prestashop is based on smarty engine with own core.

if your website doesnt use smarty, it will be almost impossible.

Hello thanks for getting back to me much appreciated, would it be possible to remove most of the theme design in an existing template and use my own design? 

 

If not it may be best if I look for another solution.
