Database Module - disappears after use?

Recommended Posts

I am pretty sure (about 90%) that there is an issue with a module that comes with the default install of PrestaShop 1.6.0.8

Upon installing the module and then using to 'clean and optimize' the database the module seems to disappear.

Can anybody else confirm if they have experienced a similar issue?

(ps, the reason I used this module in the first place was because I was experiencing the issue others have mentioned regarding a new theme not showing in admin after trying to create a fresh theme from the default-bootstrap theme.)

I'm not sure what you mean by disappear.

I noticed that ALL the modules seem to disappear from the module list once I have used them.  I found that if I search for it again, it appears.  I think I assumed it was just going to the bottom of an extremely long list of available modules.  In order to avoid this annoying behavior, I started marking the modules I wanted to find easily as favorites, so now all the modules I've marked appear in my favorites list.

Prestashop cleaner is called exactly that - not just cleaner or DB cleaner, so you may need to look under the P's to find it in an alphabetical list of modules.  Not really intuitive, because they are all Prestashop modules, but very few use that in their name.

Perhaps that will help.

Prestashop cleaner

Thanks for the response. I am pretty sure it was called Database Cleaner. I have clicked all modules, scrolled down the list and it simply is not there.

The thing is the first time this happened on another site I did not give it much credence, but this time I took note as it was a pattern I noticed. I am doing a fresh install tomorrow and will post my findings as it is merely a test dev site anyway.
