I find this topic http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/302710-do-i-need-a-new-hook/ where this guy have it. (i do not solving problem with slideshow just want to add menu to homepage) I have added category block to right column but that looks like there are not any (left/right) columns on homepage. BTW.
