[TESTING ONLY] This is a test version and should NOT be used in production mode. Never upgrade or use a test version for a live store. [TESTING ONLY]

 

Hello Community,

 

      We are releasing the TEST 1.6.0.9 download for developers who want to test out the new version. Any feedback on this thread is appreciated. Those who want to submit GitHub fixes or Forge requests please specify that you are using the test version from this thread. 

 

The changelog is located within the docs directory. I have found the links to the Forge and GitHub fixes in this version and listed them below.

 

 Thank you for all your support, around 55 bug tickets have been resolved with your help. If there are unresolved bugs or issues that you have found, you can continue discussion here.

 

In this version the key changes/improvements are

-Smarty Update to 3.1.19

-Fixes for the Block Layered Navigation

-Fix the DB loading time for large catalogs and categories.

-Better implementation of HTML Purifier

-Better Mobile detection updated.

Hi Benjamin,

 

I just downloaded the test version and checked the date of the files inside the ZIP archive. It seems it was built yesterday (July 15th) and the topic was opened on July 11th. Does the archive get automatically updated with new fixes, as they become available in the Github repo?

Is the Tax misscalculation on baseprices also fixed?

 

I dont get it why you do not calculate the base price by the price given in den price field? THat is the easyest way to do this.

 

Price: 10 EUR (100g)

Price per kg: 100 EUR

 

Price: 18 EUR (200g)

Price per kg: 90 EUR

 

Cmon you can do that better. It is a pain in the ass to get the combination working - because you cant! It ignores the price on item per kg or whatever you write into that field.

 

I hope this is fixed. If not i am going back to another software. I know that this problems are into that prestashop thing looooong time now!

Fix the Baseprice stuff. Still Bugged in 1.6.0.9.

 

Is there a Forge Report you can point me to? That would really help. Also, is it the same issue as stated here, http://feedback.prestashop.com/forums/124931-general/suggestions/5856366-discounted-price-and-base-price-calculation ?

 

The forge report would do wonders for me to communicate the issue to the dev team. Thank you modulstyle for your support, I really appreciate it!

thats awesome because these are important and well pinning them over time they get so long that we now see community having issues implementing even these fixes.

 

Personally I would like to see 'hot fixes' like these posted with direct link to forge, pinned and then locked.  

 

I would like to help more in testing but not possible at this time.

as you probably noticed, many of merchants ask about official release date of 1.6.0.9

can you shed some more light on this, please? :)

 

It will be released soon, no timetable but by next week it should be released.. However, we want to make sure we get through all the community feedback we can. I'm talking with the product team to try and get confirmation on certain fixes. If there is anything you all want me to check with them. Let me know and I'll see what I can do. Below is a shortlist of things that I want to make sure is fixed before the release. Any thoughts? Thanks!

a friend of mine also has found a bug about the rounding, if he sets a price at backend to  16,07476635514019  (7% tax)

 

the price gets shown as 17.19 in frontend but it is 17.20.

 

So can you please also let that get fixed. It is also very important, that the rounding works like it should :/

 

Also the backend rounds the input values to two decimals and so errors came up with variants.

 

 

 

You can also achieve this issue by adding a base price of 4.485981 and a variant increasement price of 11,58878535514019

 

But Presta rounds it to 11.59 so result is 17.21 € in frontend ;/

You're right tuk66. The test build that was offered in this topic (and other similar topics in the past) was updated at least 3 times since the creation of the topic, with the filename being kept the same. Perhaps a filename pattern like this one:

 

 

prestashop_1.6.0.9_testing_140723.zip

 

would help avoid any confusions...

Windows batch file that attempts to fix the problem. Create it inside the \prestashop\ folder of the archive's unzipped contents and run it from there.

It enforces increased directory security from access via HTTP(S)...

Yes, and so was the sass folder for the admin theme and the test folder at the toplevel.

 

My guess is that these are all regarded as for developers only, they have no function for a merchant site. Developers needing these files will have to get them via github. Should be fine.

Well, it was included in the previous 1.6.0.8 zip and since I was about to develop a new theme for our soon to be upgraded 1.5 version, if you're not going to include it, from now on I'll simply download it from github then :)

Yes, that is true. It is not needed for a merchant shop and so we do all we can to the make the package as light as possible. Developers know it's on the GitHub! :)

ridiculous

you have to download twice prestashop for a few files, and that are not modified and there is some incompatibility with the theme you have, since every X times you download the files prestashop change.

Besides github is for prestashop developers, not for production.

I do not see logical

se tiene que descargar dos veces el prestashop, por unos cuantos archivos, y que no esten modificados y haya alguna incompatibilidad con el tema que se tiene, ya que cada X veces que te descargas el prestashop cambian los archivos.

Ademas github es para los desarrolladores de prestashop, no para produccion.

No lo veo logico

Hi, i have two shops and two versions 1.6.0.9 with 5.4.4-14 PHP VERSION

and 1.6.1.3 with 5.4.45 PHP VERSION

 

But in 1.6.0.9 i receive sometimes this error in page randomly, it is possible is related from php version?

pretsashop 1.6.0.9 problem with combinations generator: 

if i click to generate i see success message but no combinations.
