kenkomuri
Hi, I finally can do the upgrade of Prestashop after migrating hosting. My old version was 1.5.0.17 and the updated 1.5.6.2. After that images are not displayed, just question mark. I have check the folder /img/p and its empty so I copy the old files to that folder and then I enable the "Move Images" function within Preferences -> Images and run it, then I run the "Regenerate Thumbnails" with check and the page hangs, then I uncheck the option and the images are not still displaying. Also I want to update the modules but I cant, I clic at "Update it" on every module that has it, but the page stills the same and the option "Update it" appears each time, so the modules cant be update anymore. My language of Prestashop is Spanish so the name of the option and menu can be different
PSfever.com
Hi, do you use a VPS or a shared hosting, With shared hosting it's more than probable that the php_execution_time was exceeded and the regenration of images has stopped during the process. You can move all of the products within matter of seconds, but regenerating them takes quite a bit of time. Can you now check the img/p/ file if it contains any fodlers/subfolders and images? kenkomuri
I am using a shared at Inmotion. Where can I modify the php_execution_time I just have found the max_execution_time and its 300. The images are in the img/p folder, there are not subfolders.
Wasseem Khayrattee
Hi, I think you need to regenerate the images path, In your back-office (Admin), go to: Preferences > images > [Goto section: "Regenerate thumbnails] Then click "Regenerate Thumbnails" Note: You might want to see if any of the options on that page should be adjusted if this still does not work. For example, for me I chose to keep the "Use the legacy image filesystem" to off

kenkomuri
Any reply. Please check my website vapemex.com Before upgrade I cant see the images at home page but after upgrade I cant see any image. I tried to regenerate thumbnails but the process hangs for hours. Also I try moving images and nothing happens. I have move images and change to NO the option "Use the legacy image filesystem" before upgrade. Anything else I can do? I think I never can upgrade my website successfully and this version have a lot of bugs :S
vmarkovic
Hi Guys,I have issue with product images: Few days ago I tried to add watermark to my images, since then I have issues with images and I cant manage to regenerate images (only for products) successfully, just keep getting message: [an error occurred while processing this directive]If I turn on Debug, it shows no error in BO. I also tried to change img folder permissions to 777 but no success. I have all needed image types for 1.6, it worked like a charm when I upgraded from 1.5 3 months ago.I just realized that I can no longer upload .png to image slider. Hope to get some help here. PSfever.com
Kenkoumri: Unless something is different with inMotion - you won't be able to regeneare pictures on a shared hosting..unless you have very few pictures. The script stops the execution after the limit of max_execution_time is breached. Could you give me link to your site? Have you regenerated only thumbnails? How many products do you have? asgllccb
The hang time for my updates have always been much longer than I thought. For modules and image "transfers". I got distracted one time and it just kept running and worked. I don't know if that will work for you.

I think I never can upgrade my website successfully and this version have a lot of bugs :S Go into your back office and go into Preferences/Images. Here you will find a bunch of image names along with their size and categories they apply to. Copy each one removing the _default tag. For example, You have a small_default with products, manufacturers, etc checked. Create a new image type named small and check the same categories as the small_default has checked. Then do this for each image type creating duplicates for each without the _default suffix. This will make your images show up. You may have to regenerate images but check if it works before you do. bside2234
Hi bside, There is no _default tag at the images names as showed: Hi Sorry. You are absolutely right. I had accidentally wrote it backwards. You need to create _default copies of all your image types.
kenkomuri
How could I do that?
bside2234
How could I do that? Go to the images in your back office where you took that screen shot. There should be an Add Image Type button. Add a new one with a _default suffix for every image type you have. If you want me to do it, PM me your login info and I'll fix it really quick for you. JoelWebsites
Are you able to see the images in the back office?... If Yes then you might have to check your .htaccess file in the root directory...
