installation question regarding database servers

Hi everyone, the answer to this is probably glaringly obvious, but this is my first time to deal with setting up any kind of e-commerce on a site. I've constructed a website for a friend which he has hosted on register.it. Could anyone tell me what or where I could find the database server name and the database name on section 3 of the installer? Not really understanding what these are is making things difficult. If it turns out that I need to create a database, does anyone know of any software downloads or tutorials I can read up on to do this?
