Product contained in boxes, but should be calculated in qm ?

Hi,

 

I have a client that he is like to create an online e-shop, based on PrestaShop.

 

The problem with this client is that he is selling products that the price is based in m² but are available in boxes that cannot get opened and send in example 4 items from a box.

 

More specific, my client, among the products that he like to sell, he want to sell and tiles. As usual, the tiles price is based on the m².

 

Now let's say, that a box contains 1.33 m² of tiles inside.

 

Also let's say that the tiles price is $12/m²

 

Finally let's say the client is interested for 2m²

 

The product is inserted in the catalog with the price of the qm in mind, as this is the right way to insert the price. But, in case of this order, the client want's only 2m². This mean that my client should open a box of tiles and remove 0.66m² of tiles.

 

This is something very wrong in our case, as we are now allowed to open the box of the tiles and remove from inside tiles.

 

So, how can I fix this issue in PrestaShop ? Is there any good solution ?
