How Do I hide Out Of Stock Products In 1.6

you can achieve this with mysql triggers, read this tutorial: disabling the out of stock products or with module seo 301 redirection (it has option to disable out of stock products and redirect to selected category etc.)

Hi Vekia,

Thanks for the reply. I don't know what you mean by "croon". Basically I upload products which my supplier gives me. Sometimes the product may be in stock or not. So products that are not in stock I don't want that to be visible. So I presume this is not a one time job this should be ongoing or all the time.

I think Prestashop need to provide an option for users:

- display the out of stock product, or
- do not display (hide) the out of stock product

Can use PREFIX_product.quantity> 0 when doing database queries.

I would like to see prestashop build a module that will display in stock products first, then at the end of the display of ''in stock'' products there would be a section called ''out of stock'' products, displaying all of the out of stock products.

 

As a retailer i think this would be the best option. It shows our customers that we do sell a certain product its just not available right now and it also (i believe) helps with seo

It's eazy and you can choose different options. Go to the product page and change display to YES/NO. You can even change settings for display (search, catelog, etc).
