Manufacturers-list.tpl showing HTML Tags

For some reason, the Manufacturers - list.tpl is showing the HTML Tags - any idea on how to remove them?

it's probably because truncate and escape function

add there strip tags too

That worked well and thank you.  Ask you one more question please.  My page numbers are greyed out as well,  Any ideas??
