PrestaNewby
Im currently using prestshop 1.6.0.6 and im having alot of trouble setting up PayPal Payflow link as the PayPal payment product. Ive been at this for a few days now... Ive created a PayPal Manager account with an additional user that has ADMIN priveledges. In Prestashop's PayPal configuration, i've set the Mode to 'Sandbox" and filled in the following fields with the PayPal Manager and User info I setup. PayPal Manager Partner PayPal Manager Merchant Login PayPal Manager User PayPal Manager Password As instructed, i've also set the "Enable Secure Token" to 'Yes' under Hosted Checkout Pages of PayPal Manager. The only thing that I can come up with is that I need the Prestashop Third Party Permission Username (set up in my PayPal business account) to allow Prestashop to access my PayPal account. I've noticed this to be the solution for other e-commerce site (like e-jinkie). Does anyone know what the Prestashop Third Party Permission Username is? Or What an alternative solution to this problem could be. Thank you in advance.
jrstafford1
Anybody have a good resolution to this issue yet? I have been searching for a solution but Payflow Link is still not working. Spending too much time on something that should be a simple plug-in.
dformica
PayPal module doesn't work with Payflow. I'm also waiting for this module update. Thanks!
dformica
I ended up using up my PrestaShop support plan https://www.prestashop.com/en/support to get this module fixed. Payflow is now working on my 1.6 shop. If you want to get the updated module for a small donation, please send me a direct message. Thanks,
bellini13
So you are saying you paid Prestahop to fix their broken module (which is a free module by the way). And neither Prestashop nor you will publish the fixed module?

dapete9799
Don't be surprised bellini13 when I was having the problems I contacted them and they suggested I buy their $400 support plan for them to fix it for me.
bellini13
I get that part, the part I don't get is that now that the issue is resolved (for you), am I to understand that Prestashop has not incorporated this into their module?
dapete9799
Just to be clear, I'm not the one they fixed it for. I ended up buying the module from presto-changeo. Regarding your question if they've updated the module after the other user paid for the fix, I don't know. All I see is their module was last updated in August and the users post about the fix is posted on November. So, I guess they haven't posted the updated version. dformica
Just like dapete9799 explained, I had to use most of my support plan to get the module fixed.
bellini13
i realize you had to pay for support, that is not my question. I would like to understand the following actually 1) What module are we discussing. I assume Paypal USA based on the dates discussed, but please confirm. 2) The only information you provided is that the module did not work with PayFlow. What did not work? 3) What was the 'fix'? Was it because the module did not work, or was it because Paypal changed something to break the module? If you have correspondence (emails) about the issue, I'd like to see and understand it 4) Who fixed the issue for you? Was it actually Prestashop developers, or did they refer you to a Freelancer? 5) Now that the module is 'fixed', why are those changes not published. I realize you may not be able to answer the last question, but I am hoping the answers to the first 4 questions will help me understand why an updated module has not been released. My intent is to get an understanding of what happened, and why Prestashop has failed to update this module in 8 months. This is not the only change I am aware of that Prestashop has been informed of, and still fails to provide an update. I will take that up with Prestashop once I better understand. Dh42
Bellini, Just to follow up on this, the guy that paid for the fix from PrestaShop didn't actually get a fix, he got a hack. They modified his payflow to work with the Pro api, he had a Pro account not a Payflow. I am assuming it was because they aren't allowed to say that the module does not support paypal pro since there were not any in the addons store at the time that did. They could have just told him to buy the module from Presto-Changeo but I digress.
