[SOLVED] How to display previous cart details of the customers during their current login

Hi.

 

I want the cart details(i.e. items added in cart) should remain as it is when a customer logs out and logs in again.

 

Right now when a customer logs out and logs in again, cart displays 0 items even if the customer added some product to it but didn't checkout during his previous login.

 

A very good example of the above problem is:

Suppose a customer log in from laptop,added some item to cart but didn't checkout . After sometime he/she plans to purchase those item but this time login from mobile phone. 

But due to this problem he/she has to add those items again which is a very bad experience.

 

please help!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like your question and example are two different scenarios. In one case it's about saving session info and in example it's about storing user cart items in database.

May be you are right. But I don't think it's something related to session beacuse once the customer logs out, the session expires.

 

Anyways if these are two different scenario then I am looking for solution of both the issues.

 

Please help if you have any idea

hello

to redisplay cart after  log out / log in turn on this option:

 

preferences > customers

- cart redisplay at login - turn this on.

Hi,

 

i have the same issue of cart re-display at login. i enabled this option at back office but its not working.

 

am i missing something else?

 

PS version 1.6.0.9
