cjrhoads
Can anyone help me? A few weeks ago I installed Prestashop1.6 using the Installatron on my web hoster. Stupidly, I set it to automatically update. On Tuesday I did a lot of work in my shop. On Wednesday at 3:46 in the morning, the autoupdater installed a "minor security fix" that caused my theme to get corrupted, my credit card authentication to break, and no new customers could create accounts because the state and zip code were inexplicitly missing from the form. It took me all day Thursday to track down the problem, restore the entire thing (losing all my work from Wednesday) so that I could continue working. I spent all day yesterday redoing my work. I come back this morning and AAUUURRRGGGH! The same damn problem again. I had turned OFF the autoupdater, but my guess is the next "update" was already in the queue when I did it, so it updated again anyway. I DO NOT want to lose all the work I did yesterday AGAIN. Is there anyway to figure out exactly what the problem is so that I can just restore that one portion and not undo everything else I've configured in my theme configurator? I am working on a copy of the default-bootstrap theme, and I have a backup from before the update and another from just after the update. Any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated. cjrhoads
Bummer! No one seems to be able to help me just now. I suppose I'll have to blow away everything and start all over again. If anyone can tell me what happened, I would appreciate knowing. Regards CJ Rhoads
