rattanstore
Hi, I am brand new to this so I hope that I am asking this question in the correct area. I have recently had to back up my online shop and then re-install as some files had been infected by viruses, Since the shop has been re-installed everything appeared to be working correctly until I have gone to add some more products and update the stock quantities in the back office. So I have 2 issues: 1, When I update the quantity in stock, I am getting the "Successfully Updated" green bar at the top but when I refresh the page on my website it is not updating ?? 2, When I add a new product it appears in the back office fine, but is not appearing on my website at all ?? Is this likely to me a database issue ? If so, any ideas on a fix? Thank you for any and all help Carl
nocturnal
Hi Rattan, could it maybe be a cache issue? Have u tried clearing your browser's cache and refreshing/reloading the page? Or try using 'force compile' in Prestashop, just temporarily, to see if it's updating.
rattanstore
Hi nocturnal, Thank you for the pointers, I had tried the cache but this had no effect, I have tried using the force compile, still no effect. What I have noticed is that on the main back office screen, it is showing an item quantity as "0" in red, however when I click on the product, select the quantity tab, it is still showing "6" ?? If i change this to "0", it confirms that the changes had been saved but if I exit out to main catalog page and back in again, the "6" has reappeared ???? Any other thoughts? nocturnal
It sounds like some code is missing or corrupted somehow, Rattan. This is where I'm ignorant, because I've never had any coding training. (I learn as I go.) I figure it must be something to do with the product.tpl file. As an amateur, the only way I know how to try to fix this is download a copy of the original product.tpl file and compare it with the one in your theme. The experts on this forum would probably know a better way!

Thank you for any and all help Carl I have the same problem in 1.6.0.11 I think it has to do with copying a product and trying to update the stock for it. For some reason Prestashop uses two tables for stock management and when you copy a product in the BO the tables are not properly updated. We added this bug in the forge and in the forum, nothing has been done to fix this error........
