Horizontal categories module

Hi there!

 

I am modifying a 1.6 theme and my client asked if I could show all the categories in an horizontal bar, just like the main menu. So I should have the main menu and below this a categories horizontal menu (see attached picture)

 

Does enyw¡one know about some module able to do this?

and what if there will be much more subcategories, and bar will not have enough width to display all of them?

There will probably be enough room, but even if it doesn't I still need to know whether I can do it or not.
